LS1 style steel retainers have an install height .080 taller than stock 3800 retainers. They are required when upgrading valve springs.

How do the Titanium rockers prevent valve float? - This is a relatively simple concept. The heavier the valvetrain components, the more inertia they have. Heavier components will slow down a valve's release.
