Perfect for those that already have our weld-in downpipe or who just want to remove the most restrictive part of the exhaust, we're proud to announce our latest addition, the U-Bend Bypass. This piece is welded in behind your cat and bolts up to your stock cat-back exhaust system. Gains of 5 - 10 horsepower are typical depending on your current level of modifications.

Pictured below is the stock U-bend.   Our pipe replaces this restrictive portion of the exhaust.

What is the U-Bend? When designing the vehicle GM decided that in the interest of reliability they wanted the rear oxygen sensor to sit straight up and down above the exhaust pipe to protect it from road debris. Given the space limitations between the pipe and the floor pan GM decided to put a bend in the shape of a "U" in the exhaust right behind the catalytic converter. The piece of pipe is very restrictive to flow and replacing it will alleviate a few degrees of knock while adding horsepower.
