After a 1 year hiatus we're pleased to reintroduce the W Body Store ported throttle body! W Body Store throttle bodies reduce supercharger outlet temperatures and offer a nominal increase in boost. How do we achieve this? By enlarging the throttle body to match the supercharger's inlet we are effectively reducing amount of work needed to drive the supercharger thus freeing up engine power to drive the blower and lowering the outlet temperatures of the blower since it doesn't have to work as hard to take in the same amount of air.
We have noted an average reduction of 2/10ths in E.T. and a gain of 1 - 2 mph with our throttle bodies on a 3.4 pulley equipped car (13.4 ET). The more modified the vehicle the larger the gain.
Stage I throttle bodies feature:
- 72mm bore on the outlet side (from 69mm)
- 72mm precision cut CNC throttle blade
- Low profile throttle plate rod
- Includes sensors
- Media blasted for a "like new" finish
Stage II includes all of the above and adds:
- Epoxy on inlet (As hard as the base metal!)
- Removal of MAF hump
- Optional complete removal of MAF (requires running an outboard MAF)
If running our VS3 Supercharger we recommend using our 75mm throttle body kit.
