It's a hose; what can we say?  It's flexible, it's plastic, and it uses different sized fittings on each side!  What's that mean?  That means this is the only hose you should be using with any fuel pump kit.  Rubber hoses have a fixed size on both ends which translates to too loose a fit or too tight a fit on one side.  They also wear prematurely resulting in low pressure and pump failures.  You can't beat a $10.00 fix.
