When running smaller supercharger pullies we are forced to start looking at other restrictions in the intake system as a source of lost power. We can eliminate this as a problem by replacing it with a larger unit. This reduces the intake restriction and increases velocity. We must not only look at restrictions after the air has been compressedhowever. If the supercharger has to work harder to pull in the air, parasitic loss (power required to turn the supercharger) increases as well as blower outlet temperatures. The advantages of our 75mm throttle body kit are:

• More boost with same size pulley
• Cooler outlet temperatures
• Less power required to drive supercharger

We offer our kits in two flavors:

• Instantplay - Utilizes stock MAF electronics and can be installed/ tuned generally in under an hour

How do I know if I need the larger MAF sensor or not? As always, we recommend you scan your vehicle to get some insight into exactly how it is performing. The stock MAF reaches a flow ceiling at ~11,500 hertz. Beyond this point the PCM no longer can compensate for additional air. If you're scanning your car and seeing excessively high MAF readings then it's time to consider a larger MAF sensor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

How does your throttle body differ from the LS1 units? - Our kit is plug and play and allows the use of cruise control (whereas some LS kits do not). Both throttle bodies share the same bore of 75mm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Why replace my throttle body when I can port it? - The stock throttle body can only be ported to around 72mm before the housing becomes brittle. Costs of ported stock throttle bodies are approaching that of our full 75mm kit which is at least 3mm larger in diameter.
